PRAYING WITH DIVINE INTENTION

God uses our prayers as justification to take action over our will and make our will His will.
‘Kavenah’ is a Hebrew word that means “to pray with focus, intention and meaning.” It is a deeper, more purposed kind of prayer that is spoken with total disregard of our own self desires. Only God can give us this ‘kavenah’ and He can only give it when we seek Him with all our heart.

It is our desire to move the hand of God that prods our will to pray. Yet when we say the words, we often fail to realize that the picture is even bigger than to have our prayers answered. When we pray, doors open and our future enters in. It is our future God allows to miraculously take shape as we offer Him our fervent prayers. Likewise, you must keep in mind that even if you don’t pray, your future will still come to past – but it will be a future of a different kind.

Through the miracle of prayer, our life becomes like a beautiful, seamless garment that has been fashioned by God IF we pray with the mindset of exchanging our will for His wisdom. The unique design of prayer is a mystery, indeed... God seeks out a person who will pray for His good and perfect Will to come to past and if He does not find that person, He will not act. “I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one. Therefore I have poured out My indignation on them; I have consumed them with the fire of My wrath; and I have recompensed their deeds on their own heads,” says the Lord God.” Ezekiel 22:30-31

God uses our prayers as justification to take action over our will and make our will His Will. Prayer is a privilege and is man’s greatest distinction above all God’s creation. It is spiritual warfare in the form of the spoken word. It ushers Light into darkness and destroys evil at its core. Satan will always try to stop and discourage prayer that will implement the divine and holy spiritual world of God’s Kingdom into the demonically charged, sinful natural world we live in.

Every prayer translates into supernatural power. It is an invisible force that affects, impacts and changes what we cannot see in the natural. The force behind prayer is not seen in how much we pray neither is it evident in vain repetition of words but is manifest in accordance with God’s principles. Prayer does not alter what God has determined for He is sovereign. Prayer is meant to achieve what God has already ordained and purposed. On the other hand, prayerlessness in our lives also affects change. For God will allow many of His resolutions to be placed on hold due to lack of prayerful cooperation from man. God will let them sit idle until someone is moved to pray and then God's plans are activated. God will not force the will of man.

We often think of prayer as an outlet for what we need. What we do not recognize is that the highest form of prayer is not in those prayers that say, “Help me, Lord” but in those prayers that ask God to fulfill His desires instead of ours. How privileged and blessed we are to be a true child of God for He allows us to actually touch His omniscient Spirit through our humble yet powerful prayers.

This does not mean we should not to pray for the desires of our hearts. God tells us to do this. However, we first need to understand the reasons for and the principles behind our prayers so that when we pray, we will pray with the holy, miraculous and powerful unknown in mind. It is not important for us to know the full impact of our prayers but we do need to believe that our prayers will have full impact. Prayer is the result of intimacy with God therefore men and women who are intimate with God will never be intimidated by men.

Prayer is the core of our spiritual living. It is an act of self-purification that begins with separating ourselves from our soul (our mind, will and emotions). True prayer will tap into the presence of the only One who holds the answers to all the questions in life - the ones we think to ask as well as those we have never thought of.

Believers of Jesus Christ, speak with faith in knowing that you have the power to pray with divine intention.
